The Impact:

Wellers Impact’s ethical partner on this development is Kenya Students Christian Fellowship (KSCF). KSCF are a non-political, not-for-profit, interdenominational Christian organisation who were founded in Kenya in 1959.

KSCF works alongside the Kenyan Ministry of Education to tackle tough social issues through the secondary school system in Kenya. They provide invaluable teaching assistants, teacher conferences, seminars and camps to students and teachers in Kenya’s secondary schools. These programs address topics such as career advice, mentoring, civic and social responsibility and HIV/AIDs.

Through this development, KSCF will receive c.15% of the development in exchange for the use of their land. They will maintain ownership of the land at the completion of the project and are forecasted to have an annual rental income of US$450,000.

Through this additional income, the new facilities and tripling their workforce, KSCF will be empowered to double their reach to all of Kenya’s 8,700+ secondary schools.
